What is Reiki?
The word comes from two Japanese Kanji, REI and
KI. ‘Rei’ can be interpreted to mean universal or
including all. ‘Ki’ refers to the vital life force energy
that is present in every living thing. Together Reiki
means ‘Universal Vital Life Force Energy’. It is pure
unlimited, immeasurable energy of the universe.
Reiki is….
A system of natural healing practiced and taught by Dr. Mikao Usui 19C Japan, and brought to this country in 1938 by Mrs. Hawayo Takata
A spiritual healing practice which evokes restorative rest, relaxation, and balance to your subtle energy bodies
Safe and effective in treating any condition by energizing the body’s own natural ability to heal
A practice of connecting to the unified energy field of the universe to balance the mind, body, and spirit
Spiritual in nature, but not associated with any religion
Light gentle touch, or no touch to a fully clothed recipient
Easy to learn and beneficial to anyone willing to practice
An integrative component to medical care
What does it feel like?
Physically, people may feel warmth, cold, tingling, or radiant sensations from the practitioner’s hands. You experience deep relaxation and stillness.
Emotionally, you may feel loving kindness, and a safe place to let go and relax in the present moment.
Spiritually, many people get a sense of connection, wholeness, appreciation and gratitude. When receiving a Reiki treatment, you are surrendering your ego to the greater forces that exist within you. You are allowing yourself the opportunity to dissolve the angst of the outer world and experience connecting with your inner being, the real you, while bathing in the joy of pure love and wisdom.
Benefits of Reiki Treatment:
